FROST
FROST
Level 03 · Both Ways. Your marker slides both ways, so a move can put sticks back and make a rod longer.
- 01Every rod is now two markers on a track. Only the sticks between them count.
- 02Tap any cell on your side to slide your marker there. Forward takes sticks, back puts them on.
- 03Whoever takes the last stick wins. HEAT is still the rod lengths exclusive-ored together.
FROST, Leave the board cold. Take the last.
Three rods of sticks. You and a machine cut in turn, each cut taking one stick and everything after it on that rod, and whoever takes the very last stick wins. Underneath it is a single number: exclusive-or the rod lengths together, and the position is lost for whoever has to move exactly when that number is zero. FROST puts that number on screen as HEAT rather than hiding it behind a hint button, so the theorem is something you watch hold rather than something you are told.
- 01Tap a stick. It and every stick after it on that rod is taken.
- 02You and the machine cut in turn. Whoever takes the very last stick wins.
- 03HEAT is the rod lengths exclusive-ored together. Hand the machine a zero and it cannot win.
- Level 01 · Plainpar 3
Three rods, plain cuts, and a winning move that takes one single stick off the longest rod.
- Level 02 · Four Blockspar 4
A cut may take at most three sticks, so a rod is worth only what is left past each full four.
- Level 03 · Both Wayspar 3
Your marker slides both ways, so a move can put sticks back and make a rod longer.
controls: Tap a stick to take it and the rest of its rod
